Program Overview

The CEEPUS Scholarship Program offers fully funded academic mobility opportunities for students and faculty from Central and Eastern Europe. Participants can study, teach, or conduct research at top Hungarian universities while experiencing rich cultural exchange and academic collaboration.

Types of Mobility

1. Student Mobility

  • For BA, MA, and PhD students
  • Duration: 3–5 months
  • Purpose: Coursework, credit transfer, internships

2. Short-Term Student Mobility

  • For final-year students working on a thesis
  • Duration: 1–2 months
  • Purpose: Research, lab work, consultations

3. Teacher Mobility

  • For university faculty
  • Duration: Minimum 5 working days
  • Purpose: Teaching or supervising (6+ hours/week)

4. Freemover Mobility

  • For applicants outside the CEEPUS network
  • Requires a letter of acceptance from a Hungarian university

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be enrolled or employed at an accredited institution in a CEEPUS member country
  • Must have completed at least 2 semesters of study
  • Cannot apply for a scholarship in your home country
  • Cannot receive dual funding for the same mobility
  • Citizens from member countries studying in non-member countries are not eligible
