Financial Coverage
Recipients will receive up to AUD $94,200 in total benefits, including:
- Living allowance: AUD $43,500/year (2025 rate), pro rata
- Full tuition fee offset:
- Up to 2 years for Master by Research
- Up to 4 years for Doctoral degree
- Relocation grant:
- AUD $2,000 (from other Australian states)
- AUD $3,000 (from outside Australia)
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): For international students
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Apply for and meet entry requirements for a Master by Research or PhD at the University of Melbourne
- Intend to conduct graduate research in human rights
- Not have completed a research degree at the same or higher level
- Not have previously received a graduate research scholarship
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to human rights, including through voluntary or professional work
